How to Care for Resin Figures and Hand-Painted Figurines

A little care helps protect the details that make a resin figure special. Treat your piece as a display collectible, especially around thin accessories, fingers, hair and projecting parts.

Choose a steady display spot

Use a stable, level shelf with enough room for the full base. Keep the figure away from the shelf edge and leave space around delicate details. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators and other strong heat sources. A display cabinet can help keep everyday dust off the piece.

Lift from the base

Use clean, dry hands and support the base when moving the figure. Do not lift it by a weapon, hair, an arm or another projecting detail. If the sculpt has removable sections, check that they are secure before moving it and support the sections separately when needed.

Dust gently

Start with a clean, very soft brush and light strokes. Support the piece while you work and avoid pressing into fragile areas. Do not scrub painted surfaces or use alcohol, acetone or household cleaners on the finish. If there is a mark that gentle dusting will not remove, send us a photo before trying a cleaner.

Care for the painted finish

Our hand-painted option includes a protective varnish over the paintwork. Handle it gently: the coating does not make delicate parts resistant to drops or force. Keep the piece dry and avoid prolonged rubbing against the paint.

Keep the packaging

Keep the original packaging for a future move. Repack separate parts individually so they cannot strike each other, and avoid putting pressure on thin details. Photograph the arrangement as you unpack if you want an easy reference for repacking later.
