Unpainted, Primed or Hand-Painted? A Resin Figure Finish Guide

The same Cured Cove sculpt can be ordered at three different stages of finishing. Choose the option that matches the part you want to enjoy: painting it yourself or displaying a piece painted for you.

Unpainted kit: your painting project

Select Unpainted kit for a resin figure with no paint or primer. This option suits collectors who want to choose their own primer, colors and painting approach. It is not the painted figure shown in a promotional image.

Primed, ready to paint: start with the color

Select Primed, ready to paint if you want us to apply the primer before you begin painting. Primer is the preparatory coating; it is not the character's finished color scheme. You add the colors and details yourself.

Hand-painted: painted for your collection

Select Hand-painted for a figure painted by hand in our small family studio. Jeremy handles the printing and Laura handles the painting. The painted finish is protected with varnish. This is the option to choose when you want us to complete the painting for you.

How to read the gallery

Gallery images show the sculpt and may include a painted appearance regardless of the option selected. Some images are the sculptor's computer-generated previews rather than photographs of a finished print. Added glow, lighting and energy effects are not part of the physical figure; it will not light up on its own.

Check the finish selected beside the purchase button before adding the figure to your cart. A painted gallery image does not change an unpainted or primed selection. If a color detail is especially important to you, contact us with the product link before ordering so we can discuss it.

Will the figure arrive in one piece?

Depending on the sculpt and scale, a figure may arrive in separate parts to protect delicate details in transit. Check the individual listing for assembly information. If you are unsure what a particular kit includes, ask us before ordering.
